Hornsby Bend Trail   This part of Texas is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Hornsby Bend Trail is a trail quite far from Austin-Round Rock but what a great place for hiking it is. Places like McKinney Falls State Park are great to visit, and why not camp at Tejas Mobile Plaza while you're here at Hornsby Bend Trail. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Colorado River, and the friendly folks of Del Valle like to hang out nearby. Some of the water close by flows, like Carson Creek, and you can run the rapids of Onion Creek. At Hornsby Bend Trail all through the summer months highs are in the 90's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 70's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Hornsby Bend Trail. Hornsby Bend Trail is a good place of normal rain.
