Get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Big Cottonwood Creek, and if you feel like a little side spree, try Lambs Canyon. California National Historic Trail is one of the destinations in the vicinity of The Sheep Trail that are great to go to. The Sheep Trail is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Maple Cove Campground is a tremendous local campground. Summer at The Sheep Trail arrives   with high temperatures in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at The Sheep Trail are in the 10's. Not much rain falls here at The Sheep Trail.
