Anderson Trail
| | You'll have to go far from Staunton-Waynesboro to get to Anderson Trail but what a great place for hiking it is. In Virginia you never run out of outdoors fun. There's whitewater on Calfpasture River for all you adrenaline junkies; some of the water nearby flows, like Glendye Branch. Why not take a look at Goshen Dam while you're here, and hey, Kelso Spring Branch is a delightful local stream. There are some nice whitewater spots on Maury River, and Long's Campground |
is a wonderful local campground. The smiling people of Goshen like to hang out nearby, and why not camp at Cold Sulphur Camp Ground while you're here at Anderson Trail. Whohoo, so much amusing stuff in one place! Anderson Trail is
| excellent! While staying at Anderson Trail you could always explore Hickory Hollow. Summer at Anderson Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Anderson Trail are in the 10's. Anderson Trail is a wet spot that gets a good deal of precipitation. The month with most of the rain is July while December is mostly the driest month. | |
