Fire Trail

  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and Fire Trail in Pulaski County, Virginia is a really good place to spend some time. This part of Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Hiking trails are all over the Blue Ridge Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. It's a long drive from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford to Fire Trail but hiking it is always fun.
Whitewater paddling is magnificent on New River. There's so
    much to do here at Fire Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Claytor Lake State Park is a great location for that. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Paddling on Big Reed Island Creek is so much
fun, and Fire Trail is close to Gum Stand which is definitely worth a visit. Here at Fire Trail you'll in all probability meet some folks from Indian Valley; you can stay the night at Mcguire's Campground. Take a side tour to Buck Hollow Branch; a trip here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Claytor Lake State Park. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Fire Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Fire Trail reach  
the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Fire Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Fire Trail is close to the national average.
