Grooms Ridge Trail

Hiking in Virginia is such a great thing to do. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend North River. You're sure to stumble upon some smiling people from Mount Solon here. If you come at the right time of year, Little River - North R. Tributary offers some nice whitewater. Camping is available at North River Campground, and while you're here, you could visit North Fork Little River. Why not camp at Stokesville Park Recreational
since you're here at Grooms Ridge Trail; why not have a look at nearby Hog Run while you're here at Grooms Ridge Trail. From a rainfall point of view Grooms Ridge Trail is a relatively common place. July is the wettest month with
most rain; the driest of the months is January. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Grooms Ridge Trail reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows at Grooms Ridge Trail during the winter usually drop into the 10's.
