Grayson Highlands State Park is a perfect place, and unsurprisingly Solomon Branch flows through this region. What a location this is for outdoors people. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Big Wilson Creek. Hickory Ridge Trail is a relatively wet place mostly with lots of precipitation. Through July this area   sees the most rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. During the days of summer here at Hickory Ridge Trail, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
