Hoof and Hill Trail   Virginia is a great place for hikers. Hoof and Hill Trail is a long drive away from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. There's so much to do here at Hoof and Hill Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Pioneer Village Campground is a great location for that. Take a side trip to Standrock Branch. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hoof and Hill Trail has to offer,     you can camp at Walnut Flats Campground. Near Hoof and Hill Trail you come across Little Horse Gap which is a splendid place to visit. Little Walker Creek is a good whitewater spot next to Hoof and Hill Trail, and a short spree to Falls of Dismal is always worthwhile. A nice place for whitewater paddling close to Hoof and Hill Trail is Walker Creek, and do check out Pearis Thompson Branch since you're here at Hoof and Hill Trail. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. You're sure to encounter some smiling folks from Oakvale here; a good place like Walnut Flats here at Hoof and Hill Trail is too good to miss. Hoof and Hill Trail gets a typical amount of yearly rain. The   month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while January is typically the driest month. High temperatures at Hoof and Hill Trail throughout the warm months are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
