In the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elk Creek. Throughout the summer months, highs typically are in the 80's at   Mountain Trail, and the nighttime is somewhat cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Mountain Trail. Mountain Trail is a good location of normal precipitation.
