North Mountain Trail   Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and North Mountain Trail in Alleghany County, Virginia is a really good place to spend some time. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Simpson Creek. North Mountain Trail ordinarily gets much precipitation. Of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain,   and December is when it's the driest. All through the summertime months, highs mostly are in the 80's at North Mountain Trail, and the night is a tad cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are typically in the 30's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at North Mountain Trail plunge into the 10's.
