  Virginia is a great place for hikers. A long drive separates Staunton-Waynesboro from Trimbles Mill Trail, but hiking is such a fun thing to do and this is a great place to do that. In case you donít mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Calfpasture River. The scenery at Wood Dam next to Trimbles Mill Trail is striking; a great site to camp here at Trimbles Mill Trail is Walnut Hills Campground. You might want to pay a visit
    to Kings Gap if you're here at Trimbles Mill Trail. Trimbles Mill Trail is nice enough to spend more than a day at, North River Campground is a nice local campground. Middle River is a fine whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Trimbles
Mill Trail, and if you're stopping by from Swoope, you won't be the only one. Through the months of summer at Trimbles Mill Trail highs are regularly in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Trimbles Mill Trail dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Trimbles Mill Trail. Most of the rain falls through July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
