War Spur Connector   In Virginia you never run out of outdoors fun. War Spur Connector is a trail quite far from Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford but it's one of those places where hiking is great. There's so much to do here at War Spur Connector that you need to camp here for a while, Moncove Lake State Park is a magnificent place for that. Going to Moncove Lake State Park right next door to War Spur Connector is a great thing to do, and there's whitewater on Stony Creek - New     Tributary for all you adrenaline junkies. Lots of people from Waiteville come to War Spur Connector; why not a little side tour to Sartain Branch. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Little Stony Creek, and swing by Saltpeter Branch it's a delightful place to pop by. If you came to camp New River Junction Campground is a tremendous site to do that. The amount of rainfall that falls at War Spur Connector is close to the national average.
