Baker Peak Trail

  Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Rutland County of Vermont, Baker Peak Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. No chance of getting bored in Vermont if you like the outdoors. A long drive separates Rutland from Baker Peak Trail, but it is a really good trail.
Hiking trails are all over the Green Mountains where you can absorb the beauty of these mountains. Lots of folks from East Dorset come to Baker Peak
    Trail; some of the water nearby flows, like McGinn Brook. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Baker Peak Trail is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Otter Creek Campground
is a tremendous spot to camp nearby. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Branch; Campground A is a wonderful campground nearby. There are some good whitewater spots on Mill River; dropping by Emerald Lake State Park is a good thing to do. Throughout the warmest time of the year at Baker Peak Trail temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 20's, and winter nights  
come with lows in the 0's to Baker Peak Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Baker Peak Trail a wet place. All through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest.
