Main Trail   When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Main Trail in Essex County, Vermont is the outdoors at it's best. Hiking here in Vermont is a must. In the Green Mountains there are many great hiking trails where wonderful nature is waiting for you. Pretty far from Berlin you find Main Trail but it is a really good trail. A tour to Main Trail wouldn’t be complete without a visit to close by Brighton State Park, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone     but if it's for you then, we recommend Clyde River. You simply have to have a thing about the Green Mountains. Some nearby water includes Goupee Brook, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from nearby Island Pond. Camping at Lakeside Camping Area is always a nice experience, and since you're here, do take a visit to Eagle Point. Getting to Tuffield Willey Brook from Main Trail is simple; on a lovely day you can stop by Balm of Gilead Beach. What a spot this is for outdoors people. Camping is available at Burke Mountain Campgrounds, and there are some good whitewater spots on Nulhegan River. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the Green Mountains. During the summertime   here at Main Trail, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Main Trail. An average amount of precipitation falls at Main Trail.
