North Shore Trail

  Hitting the trails is always a fun thing to do and if you happen to be in Franklin County of Vermont, North Shore Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Camping is available at Carry Bay Campground and Cottages; don't leave without dropping by Burton Island State Park. If you come at the right time of year, Browns River offers some great whitewater. Why not camp at Campbells Bay Campground while you're here at North Shore Trail; you'll meet
    a lot of folks from South Hero here. Don't forget to explore Eagle Bay since you're here at North Shore Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River. For the period of the
summertime months here at North Shore Trail, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows at North Shore Trail throughout the winter commonly sink into the 0's. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at North Shore Trail. August is the wettest month with most rain; January meanwhile is the driest month.
