Taconic Crest Trail

  First, the Taconic Crest Trail is in NY state not VT, starting just south west of pownal vt, and traveling back and forth between the ny and MA line for about 39 miles.

When was the last time you got out in nature a bit? Taconic Crest Trail in Bennington County, Vermont is a really good place to spend some time. With so many outdoors activities available in Vermont you'll never get bored. There's so much to do here at Taconic
    Crest Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Hollow Campground is a glorious place for that. A trip to Petersburg Pass is always fun, and Taconic Crest Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Aqua Vista Valley
Campgrounds is a great local campground. Green River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and you don't ought to go far to enjoy Hopkins Memorial Forest. A spree to Taconic State Park when you're here at Taconic Crest Trail is never a bad idea, and this is a popular location for folks from North Pownal. Whitewater paddling is great on Quacken Kill River. The yearly rainfall here at Taconic Crest Trail is about average. The month of August is the wettest  
with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is February. Through the long summer days at Taconic Crest Trail temperatures are usually in the 70's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Taconic Crest Trail temperatures fall to the 10's.
