The Long Trail   There are many hiking trails in the Green Mountains where beautiful scenery awaits you. This part of Vermont has a great deal of available outdoors activities. It's a long drive from Burlington-South Burlington to The Long Trail but it is a fun place to hike for the whole family. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and if you happen to be in Lamoille County of Vermont, The Long Trail is a great local trail for doing     a bit of leg stretching. If you yearn for a little side trip, try Smugglers Notch; you're sure to bump into some smiling folks from Jeffersonville here. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. A short tour to Big Spring is always worthwhile, and camping at Brewster River Campground is always a tremendous experience. Bingham Falls is an inspiring place to stop by while you're here; a good place to camp here at The Long Trail is Gold Brook Campground. Paddling on Little River - West Branch is so much fun, and you undeniably must take a look at Underhill State Park if you're here. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining things,   what a great earth it would be. Soar down the rapids of Little River in a kayak; Mount Mansfield State Forest is a tremendous local forest. You truly should adore the Green Mountains. Summertime highs at The Long Trail regularly tend to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
