Allegheny Trail
| | West Virginia is a great outdoors state. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Allegheny Trail in Monroe County, West Virginia is just what you need. Allegheny Trail is not very near Blacksburg-Christiansburg-Radford at all but hiking it is always fun. Pine Swamp Branch is a stream that you may bump into during your stay. Moncove Lake State Park is a great campground nearby, and Little Stony Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. |

| for an overnight stay New River Junction Campground is a wonderful site to camp, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Pembroke here. Summertime highs at Allegheny Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Allegheny Trail descend into the 20's. The yearly precipitation here at Allegheny Trail is about average. The month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is January. | |
