Bear Run Trail
| | Bear Run Trail is a trail quite far from Oak Hill but if you're looking for a good place to go hiking this is a good choice. There are some good whitewater spots on Cranberry River, and let's not forget Foxtree Run which is a stream that you may stumble upon while you're here. Cranberry Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; during your journey here you'll meet some people from Richwood for sure. Bee Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going |
to. If you came for an overnight stay Big Rock Campground is a delightful spot to camp. There's whitewater on Gauley River for all you adrenaline kick people; Glade Run Lake Dam is a beautiful spot. That right there is a heap already,
| but it goes on; Bear Run Trail has it all. Near Bear Run Trail you find nice sites like Rich Hollow. Summertime highs at Bear Run Trail mostly tend to be in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Bear Run Trail. Bear Run Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation. July is the month that gets the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. | |
