Buckeye Trail

We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Buckeye Trail in Pocahontas County, West Virginia is just the place. Some of the water nearby flows, like Monday Lick Run, and Kee Flats is a tremendous location here at Buckeye Trail. A journey to Buckeye Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cold Springs. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Buckeye Trail has to offer, you can camp at HCS Campground. A tour to Watoga State Park
revitalizes the soul, and hey, Sunday Lick Run is a great local stream. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Elk River - Old Field Fork. Stay the night at Watoga State Park, and you'll perhaps
meet some folks from Buckeye here. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Buckeye Trail. There are some fine whitewater spots on Greenbrier River. During the long summer days at Buckeye Trail temperatures are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are regularly in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Buckeye Trail temperatures plunge to the 10's. Buckeye Trail gets a great
deal of water. The wettest month of the year is typically July, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month.
