Carnifex Trail   It's a long drive from Oak Hill to Carnifex Trail but it sure is a nice trail. Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Nicholas County of West Virginia, Carnifex Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. If you come at the right time of year, Meadow River offers some glorious whitewater. A tour to Pillow Rock Rapids will fill your spirit with nice feelings; there are some tremendous whitewater spots on Gauley River. If     you came to camp Summersville Lake Retreat is a glorious place to do that; there are plenty of people from Mount Lookout here at Carnifex Trail. There's so much to do here at Carnifex Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Wilderness RV Campground is a delightful site for that. There's some flowing water nearby, Meadow River is a stream you can go to while here. A great place like Babcock State Park next to Carnifex Trail is too tremendous to leave out, and Staton Branch is near Carnifex Trail and is always a diversion to check out. If only every location had this much outdoors cool things, what a great globe it would be. Put some time aside to spend at Lost Paddle Rapids if   you're here at Carnifex Trail. Carnifex Trail is a pretty wet place commonly with a great deal of rainfall. For the period of July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. At Carnifex Trail through the summertime highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's.
