Elza Trail   So nice to see my famliy landmark.  Says Sebastain  Elza West Virginia has so much to offer nature lovers. It's a long drive from Morgantown to Elza Trail but when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. We all need to get out in nature once in a while and Elza Trail in Randolph County, West Virginia is just the place. There's so much to do here at Elza Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Gatewood Group Campground     is a good place for that. Nearby Lee Bennett Hollow is a tremendous site to go if you're at Elza Trail, and Monongahela National Forest is a great site to stop at on a wonderful day. There are some nice whitewater spots on Cheat River - Dry Fork, and some of the water close by flows, like Taylor Run. Stay the night at Swallow Rock Campground, and getting to Elza Run from Elza Trail is uncomplicated. Lots of people from Whitmer come to Elza Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Gandy Creek offers some perfect whitewater. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff to do are really plentiful here at Elza Trail. Much rain falls at Elza Trail. The month with most of the rain is July; February is   when it's the driest. For the duration of the warm months here at Elza Trail, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Elza Trail are in the 10's.
