Little Mountain Trail   It's a long drive from Staunton-Waynesboro to Little Mountain Trail but It's always fun to hike here. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while and Little Mountain Trail in Pocahontas County, West Virginia is the outdoors at it's best. Seven Mile Campground is a good local campground, and a great spot like Cass Railroad State Park is too wonderful to leave out. If you came for an overnight stay Whittaker Campground is a glorious     site to camp. Laurel Run is a tremendous place to stop by; get yourself into a kayak and hit Deer Creek. At Little Mountain Trail you always meet someone from Green Bank, and soar down the rapids of Greenbrier River in a kayak. Take a side tour to Allegheny Run. Little Mountain Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall. July is when you get the most rain here while February is usually the driest month. Throughout the summertime months, highs typically are in the 70's at Little Mountain Trail. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's.
