Slabcamp Trail

  This part of West Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Slabcamp Trail in Greenbrier County, West Virginia is a perfect place for getting out. You'll have to go far from Roanoke to get to Slabcamp Trail but there's great natural beauty awaiting you along it. While you're here at Slabcamp Trail you will meet lots of people from nearby Frankford. Slabcamp
    Trail is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Blue Bend Rec Area - Monongahela National Forest is a splendid local campground. Anthony Creek is a splendid whitewater spot in close proximity to Slabcamp Trail, and a good place
to camp here at Slabcamp Trail is End Of The Trail Campground. There's some flowing water nearby, Panther Lick Run is a stream you can visit during your stay. You can run the rapids of Anthony Creek close to Slabcamp Trail, and let's not forget Dawson Run which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. A visit to Watoga State Park rejuvenates the spirit. All through the warmest time of the year at Slabcamp Trail temperatures are typically in the  
80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Slabcamp Trail. Slabcamp Trail typically gets a lot of precipitation. July is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month of the year is January.
