Span Oak Trail

  You'll have to go far from Morgantown to get to Span Oak Trail but it is a really good trail. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Pocahontas County of West Virginia, Span Oak Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Camping at Island Campground is always a great experience; a trip to Monongahela National Forest is a good idea. Greenbrier River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby, and
    Span Oak Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Little River Campground is a glorious local campground. In the event that you donít have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Greenbrier
River - West Fork. At Span Oak Trail you always meet someone from Durbin, and needless to say Span Oak Run flows through this vicinity. There's some flowing water nearby, Clubhouse Run is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Through the warm days of summer at Span Oak Trail temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's.
