Spice Ridge Trail

It's a long drive from Roanoke to Spice Ridge Trail but what a great place for hiking it is. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Spice Ridge Trail in Pocahontas County, West Virginia is the outdoors at it's best. Long Day Run is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at; Spice Ridge Trail is a location with many visitors from Hillsboro. Camping is available at HCS Campground; a tour to Watoga State Park when you're here is never a bad idea.
Paddling on Anthony Creek is so much fun. Why not camp at Blue Bend Rec Area - Monongahela National Forest if you're here at Spice Ridge Trail; float down the rapids of Anthony Creek in a kayak. Lots of rain falls at Spice Ridge Trail.
For the duration of July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Spice Ridge Trail. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; night lows at Spice Ridge Trail during the wintertime commonly sink into the 10's.
