Stonecoal Trail   This part of West Virginia is always a pleasure to visit during hiking season. At Stonecoal Trail through the summer highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 30's with temperatures at Stonecoal Trail dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. The high level of precipitation   makes Stonecoal Trail a relatively wet place. July is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.
