The Dock Trail
| | Hiking in West Virginia is such a great thing to do. Gotta get out of the city man, and if you happen to be in Pocahontas County of West Virginia, The Dock Trail is a great local trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Why not camp at Pocahontas Picnic And Campground while you're here at The Dock Trail, and unsurprisingly, everybody loves Watoga State Park. Anthony Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot in the neighborhood of The Dock Trail, and at The Dock Trail |
you always meet someone from Marlinton. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jackson River. Camping is available at Lake Sherwood Campground. The Dock Trail regularly gets a great
| deal of precipitation. July is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February. All through the months of summer at The Dock Trail highs are ordinarily in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at The Dock Trail fall into the 10's. | |
