Upper Meadow Trail   Upper Meadow Trail is located quite a long drive from Roanoke but trails like these are great. West Virginia is a great outdoors state. Lake Sherwood Dam is pretty and it's in the vicinity of Upper Meadow Trail; Anthony Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Getting to Dilley Run from Upper Meadow Trail is painless, and places like Watoga State Park are good to visit. Why not camp at Bolar Mountain Campground since you're here at Upper Meadow Trail;     some close by water includes Bear Branch. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Jackson River. A nice location to camp here at Upper Meadow Trail is Lake Sherwood Campground. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Upper Meadow Trail. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are commonly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Upper Meadow Trail are in the 10's. Upper Meadow Trail gets lots of water.
