  It's a long drive from Sheridan to Dry Horse Trail but hiking it is always fun. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Dry Horse Trail in Big Horn County, Wyoming is a great place to go. is a delightful spot to visit for more than one day, Shell Campground is a delightful spot to camp nearby. Dry Horse Trail is not far at all from Shell, and obviously East Fork Horse Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth checking out. And that's not all you can do here at Dry Horse Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Dry Horse Trail has to offer, you can camp at Granite Creek Campground. You can run the rapids of Tongue River near Dry  
Horse Trail. It is very dried out here at Dry Horse Trail mostly. The month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Through the months of summer here at Dry Horse Trail, high temperatures regularly get into the 60's with night lows in the 30's.
